Sadly, "providing affordable housing is no longer a government priority" and thousands of tenants could be trapped in a lifetime of poverty.
The LibDem/Tory coalition government has slashed the affordable housebuilding budget by 60% - so threatening thousands of private sector construction industry jobs - and are tripling rents. According to the National Housing Federation, some low income families will have to find an extra £9,000 a year in rent.
Before the election the LibDems said "for poorer families, the struggle for somewhere decent to live has got much harder". Now, with their Tory friends, they've made it much worse! Don't let them say that we are all in this together.
