Redlands Public Surgery Today

No appointment is necessary and discussions are strictly confidential.

Ward surgeries are held on the second Saturday of each month, alternating between St Lukes Parish Hall, Erleigh Road (RG1 5LR) and the Hexham Road Community Centre (RG2 7UD).

Labour councillors David and Tony also undertake "street surgeries" on other Saturdays and weekdays - so watch out for the window poster coming through your letter-box!

Government Misses Deadline For Fifth Time - And Nobody Is Surprised

This is not about Brexit.
Or, at least, should not be about Brexit.

On 10 April 2019 an updated briefing paper was published in the House of Commons library advising that the much awaited and much postponed green paper on social care, had once again been delayed. With all the attention swirling around Brexit, this significant fact went largely unreported.

The briefing report noted that the green paper would now be published "at the earliest opportunity" - with no new date for publication stated.

Meanwhile the government minister responsible, Matthew Hancock, seems more preoccupied in speaking out about Brexit, rather than his cabinet brief. (Try googling his name and news, and see for yourself).

Here's a link to an earlier piece, and nothing has moved on, which means more people have and are facing hardship.

There is no reason for this continuing delay ... and now, not even any excuses.
